Double Decking Re-Invented

The engineers of our Research and Development department were given the task to re-engineer our double decking solutions, focusing on minimising the weight without any compromises on performance. Combined with our manufacturing capabilities and optimal supply chain, these double decking solutions will contribute to great efficiency for our customers.

Lightest Captive Solution From Steel

Utilise the maximum volume and capacity of the SWAP-body by using a double decking system that has the lowest system weight in the market. The weight reduction of the beams also has a great positive ergonomic advantage to the operator. The aluminum 1849 (1300kg) and 1849 Heavy-Duty beams (1350kg) slide into the 5044 single tracks.

Creating a full captive double decking system: equipment can’t get lost or stolen. The 1849 decking beams are easily locked into position at the desired height thus providing an instant second and even a third level of decking or pallet stations.

The system can also be set at various levels throughout the vehicle to accommodate mixed load requirements. When the beams are not required, they simply can be stored at roof level.

Your questions answered

The LayerLok SC is a double decking system specifically designed for SWAP-bodies, aimed at maximizing the container's capacity and volume efficiency. It includes 5044 steel tracks and 1849 aluminum beams, offering a lightweight and captive solution.

  • SWAP-Body Optimisation: Designed to maximise space and efficiency in SWAP-bodies.
  • Weight Reduction: Up to 30% lighter than comparable systems, achieved through innovative beam design.
  • Low Pitch: Tracks feature a low pitch of 50.8mm, optimising usable space.
  • Captive System: Beams lock into the tracks, preventing equipment loss or theft.
  • Double Decking Capability: Allows for the creation of multiple levels within the container, suitable for varied cargo heights.

The LayerLok SC operates by installing 5044 steel tracks onto the corrugations of the SWAP-body. These tracks accommodate 1849 aluminum beams, which can be adjusted to different heights to create multiple decking levels. The system is designed for ease of use and to maximise the container's internal volume.

  • Maximised Capacity: Increases the number of pallets or cargo that can be transported in SWAP-bodies.
  • Weight Savings: Reduces the overall weight of the system, contributing to lower transportation costs.
  • Security: Captive system prevents equipment from getting lost or stolen.
  • Ergonomic Advantages: Lightweight beams improve handling and operational efficiency for operators.

The LayerLok SC distinguishes itself with its focus on SWAP-body efficiency and weight reduction without compromising on performance. It offers a fully integrated double decking solution that can be tailored to fit specific SWAP-body configurations.

  • 5044 Tracks: Surface-mounted steel tracks with customisable lengths and fixing specifications.
  • 1849 Beams: Aluminium beams with load capacities of up to 1000kg, available in standard and heavy-duty versions. Customisable in length and finish to meet specific requirements.

Yes, both the tracks and beams of the LayerLok SC can be customized to fit different SWAP-body configurations and specific customer needs. This includes adjusting lengths, profiles and finishes for optimal performance.

Yes, the LayerLok SC can accommodate mixed load requirements by allowing adjustable heights for the beams. This flexibility enables efficient use of space within the SWAP-body for various cargo types and sizes.
